Fall Rails to Resort Hill Climb

The Fall Rails to Resort Hill Climb is September 18th, at 11am. If you raced in the Spring, reg is only $10. If you want to be guaranteed an event tee, PLEASE pre-register by September 10th! Otherwise, we’ll just see you race day for registration. Click here for the event flyer.

Also, if you are interested in doing the Round the Lake – Priest Lake edition, click here for more details. It’s a beautiful ride that includes miles of awesome single track. So, pack up the mountain bike!

Spring Rails to Resort recap

Thanks to all that participated in the Spring Rails to Resort Hill Climb. We had a nice break in the weather Saturday and it was a perfect temp for climbing! We had 37 riders tackle the hill and here are some of the highlights:

Justin Henning did the race on a unicycle in 56 minutes!! One wheel and one speed, just amazing
1st place men’s road – Blake Keogh, 40:40
1st place women’s road – Rebecca Johnson, 53:48
1st place men’s mt bike on road – Jacob Ostman, 51:53

We didn’t have any ladies sign up to ride their mt bike up the road. Let’s try to get some ladies in there this fall. And sadly, the Basin Trail was submerged and just way too wet to run the dirt division. This Fall the trail should be great though. After the race we convened at Pucci’s for some beverages, swag and awards. Thanks to Eric who was a busy guy keeping all our glasses full.

Rails to Resort Hill Climb

Saturday, June 5th at 11 am will be the Spring Rails to Resort Hill Climb. After climbing up Schweitzer, we will meet at Pucci’s for awards, lunch and well deserved beers. Please fill out the attached Registration Form and send or drop off a check to Sandpoint Sports. Hope to see you there.

Sunday Morning Road Rides

So, it looks like an early biking season, and we are ready to start our weekly Sunday morning road rides. Come get an early ride in and then enjoy the rest of your day. Here’s what you need to know:

Bring a good attitude.
We leave promptly at 8am.
We normally ride about 2 hours out in the Selle Valley. All routes will be decided and discussed the morning of the ride.
Rides are rain or shine so come prepared.
Open to all abilities…however don’t expect a Sag wagon or sweep. We all do the same loop at our own ability. Start together and finish together. What happens in between is up to you.
Meet at Starbucks after the ride for a well deserved treat!!
